Numerai Monthly: $30m Series C, New Data & Target, Signals Payout Clip Increase
Numerai raised $30 million at a $500 million valuation
Numerai has closed a $30 million Series C fundraising round led by top university endowments. Other participating investors include Union Square Ventures, Shine Capital, and Paul Tudor Jones.
New Numerai Data & Payout Target
A new dataset for the Numerai Tournament will be released by mid-December. This will be a minor v5.2 update introducing additional features. A new payout target for Numerai will also take effect by January 1, 2026, which will resemble target_teager2b_20.
Signals Payout Clip Increase
Numerai recently hosted a Fireside Chat led by our Chief Tournament Officer, Noah Harasz. Noah presented an analysis of Signals payouts and proposed increasing the clip from 1.7% to 3.5%. Following the presentation, the community voted on Discord in support of the change. The updated clip will go into effect on January 1, 2026 as a result.
NumerCon 2026
Join the world’s best data scientists at NumerCon 2026 in San Francisco on January 30. The Numerai Council of Elders will also host a Decentralized AI Day in San Francisco earlier that same week.

- In November, Numerai paid out $251,850 worth of NMR.
- Numerai Crypto has fully switched to the V2 universe; V1 data will be completely removed later this month.
