Numerai Monthly: NMR Buyback, Quantum Dataset, Atomic Blockchain Staking
Third Strategic NMR Buyback
Numerai completed its third strategic NMR buyback, purchasing an additional $1.2 million of NMR from the open market and bringing total repurchase amount to $3.2 million in under one year. With active accounts more than doubling and assets under management reaching approximately $700 million, the buyback helps replenish the treasury that funds Numerai's long-term staking and incentive system.
Numerai v5.3 "Quantum" Dataset
Numerai released the new v5.3 "Quantum" tournament dataset, introducing 807 new features while keeping the existing target list and payout target unchanged. The updated features deliver improved benchmark model performance against existing targets.
Atomic Blockchain Staking
Upgrades to the Atomic Blockchain Staking smart contracts have been completed for Numerai Crypto. Numerai’s main tournament will switch to the 60-day Ender payout target and begin using Atomic Blockchain Staking for rounds starting on or after August 28.
Signals v2.2 Dataset
The Numerai Signals v2.2 dataset is coming soon, bringing updated neutralizers, sample weights, a new payout target, scoring changes, and turnover threshold changes. One month after the v2.2 dataset is released, the Signals payout target will switch to the new target, and the migration to Atomic Blockchain Staking will begin.
Out of Sample
The latest episode of Out of Sample, presented by Numerai's Council of Elders, is now live, featuring ShatteredX, Numerai Grandmaster and current top staker, sharing lessons from years of building, breaking, and rebuilding models.
