Numerai Monthly: Updates to Signals, Staking, and Mobile Support

Numerai Monthly: Updates to Signals, Staking, and Mobile Support

New Signals Onboarding

Numerai has introduced Signals onboarding that uses the official example notebook to get started with the Signals dataset. As we continue upgrading Signals, we will include more tutorials to help new users.

New Signals Payout Scores

Numerai Signals moved to its new payout scores. The multipliers are 0.5x NCORR + 2x NMMC, designed to produce historically comparable median payouts over the same range of recent rounds, assuming participants stay under the neutral churn threshold.

Updates to Staking

To make it easier to track model performance without staking, Numerai is introducing theoretical returns for unstaked models, including historical backfilled returns displayed on the website. Tournaments using Atomic Blockchain Staking now require a minimum stake of 0.1 NMR per round. Stakes below 0.1 NMR are no longer invoked, helping prevent excessive gas costs from dust-level stake amounts.

Mobile Styling Updates

We have optimized several pages of the website to give a more native look when on mobile. We believe this change will provide the best experience for users that like checking on their models, scores, payouts, and more, on mobile.

Community Meetups

Numerai’s Council of Elders hosted DeAI Day in Warsaw on September 26, with event materials now available, and is heading to New York for another full day of talks, workshops, and an Out of Sample panel on October 10.
