Atomic Blockchain Staking
The full technical roadmap for Atomic Blockchain Staking is now live on the forum. Atomic Blockchain Staking is the third iteration of Numerai's staking system, designed to combine the best of what came before: per-round atomic staking with no leverage or clipping, plus full support for automated "set and forget" allocation strategies. All legacy off-chain stakes have been successfully migrated, and the main tournament migration begins this month. USDC staking as an EVM layer 2 option is expected by July 4.
New Signals Target
Numerai is working on a new target for Signals that will include updated neutralization matrices. When it goes live, Signals payouts for Alpha & MPC will transition to the new version. Numerai intends to increase payouts for Signals as well.
Out of Sample
The Council of Elders is launching Out of Sample, a new long-form series exploring machine learning, tournament strategy, and the people building at the frontier of Numerai. The first episode discusses AI-native research workflows, automated model generation, and building Claude Code before Claude Code existed.

- Numerai paid out $183,970 worth of NMR in May.
- Significant updates to model uploads have been made, with an average of 30% faster model uploads times.
